    <content:encoded xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/"><![CDATA[<p>La segmentazione di immagini è un tema di ricerca molto vivo in svariati ambiti di applicazione</p>
<p>(computer vision, image processing, medical imaging). Tale problema può essere formulato</p>
<p>attraverso la minimizzazione del funzionale di Mumford-Shah, uno degli approcci più utilizzati</p>
<p>in questo ambito. Negli anni recenti nuove tecniche sono state studiate, basate su approcci</p>
<p>di tipo Deep Learning. In questo seminario proponiano un approccio non supervisionato per la</p>
<p>segmentazione semantica basato sul framework Deep Image Prior: il funzionale di Mumford Shah</p>
<p>viene riparametrizzato attraverso i pesi di una rete convolutoria. I primi esperimenti, eseguiti su</p>
<p>immagini "naturali" e mediche mostrano come questo approccio fornisca risultati molto affidabili,</p>
<p>anche in presenza di rumore. Porremmo anche le basi per l'estensione al modello di Ambrosio-Tortorelli.</p>

    <content:encoded xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/"><![CDATA[<p>Abstract: The Picard  group of a variety, i.e. the group of           line bundles that live over it, is an interesting and much           studied invariant in algebraic geometry. In particular, the           Picard groups of moduli spaces of objects (e.g. smooth curves           of fixed genus, quasi-polarized K3 surfaces of fixed degree)           have been the subject of a large amount of research in the           past thirty years.<br /> In this talk, I will explain how techniques of equivariant           intersection theory, applied to certain moduli spaces of           complete intersections, can shed some light on two specific           questions:<br /> (1) Suppose that the base field has positive characteristic.           Is the Picard group of the moduli stack of smooth curves of           fixed genus freely generated by the Hodge line bundle?<br /> (2) Do the Noether-Lefschetz elliptic divisors freely generate           the integral Picard group of moduli stack of polarized K3           surfaces?<br /> Time permitting, I will show how the same methods can be used           in order to compute the classes of some geometrically           meaningful divisors on these moduli spaces in terms of the           generators of the Picard groups.</p>]]></content:encoded>

More precisely, we look for the best shape and location of the Dirichlet regions which optimize these constants. According to the homogeneity of the problem, different situations occur and several questions remain open.</span></p>]]></content:encoded>

Il  risultato principale è l'esistenza di un rinforzo ottimo nella classe  degli insiemi unidimensionali connessi di lunghezza totale prefissata.  La struttura ottima può presentare zone di molteplicità, cioè in cui  possono esserci sovrapposizioni. Questo viene mostrato anche da alcune  simulazioni numeriche, che illustrano la crescente complessità delle  strutture ottime al crescere della lunghezza totale.</span></p>]]></content:encoded>

<div>In this talk I will show how the number of minimal models of an n-dimensional manifold can be <span class="gmail-m_-1959641445465109246m_818994158067320865m_-3439945286540108055gmail-il">bounded</span> in term of its volume for any n. Moreover, I will explain that in any dimension minimal models of general type and <span class="gmail-m_-1959641445465109246m_818994158067320865m_-3439945286540108055gmail-il">bounded</span> volume form a <span class="gmail-m_-1959641445465109246m_818994158067320865m_-3439945286540108055gmail-il">bounded</span> family.</div>

<p><span dir="ltr">Abstract:</span><br /><span dir="ltr">A classical tool to get numerical invariants of a curve singularity is the study of its value</span><br /><span dir="ltr">semigroup. In case of a one branch singularity this semigroup is a numerical semigroup</span><br /><span dir="ltr">(i.e. a submonoid of</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">N</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">with finite complement in it); in case the singularity has</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">h</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">branches,</span><br /><span dir="ltr">this semigroup is a subsemigroup of</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">N</span><span dir="ltr">h</span><span dir="ltr">, belonging to the class of the so-called ”good semi-</span><br /><span dir="ltr">groups”. Despite their name, the combinatoric of good semigroups is quite problematic;</span><br /><span dir="ltr">moreover, for</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">h</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">≥</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">2, it is an open problem to understand which good semigroups can be</span><br /><span dir="ltr">realized as value semigroups.</span><br /><span dir="ltr">In case of a plane singularity with one branch, an old result of Ap ́</span><span dir="ltr">ery shows that there</span><br /><span dir="ltr">is a particularly strict connection between the value semigroups of the singularity and</span><br /><span dir="ltr">of its blowup; this connection is obtained using a particular set of generators of the</span><br /><span dir="ltr">semigroup, named ”Ap ́</span><span dir="ltr">ery set”.</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">In fact, using that result, it is possible to show very</span><br /><span dir="ltr">easily, that the equisingularity classes given by the multiplicity sequence and by the</span><br /><span dir="ltr">value semigroup coincide. In particular, this method allows to reconstruct the numerical</span><br /><span dir="ltr">semigroup associated to a plane branch singularity starting from the multiplicity sequence.</span><br /><span dir="ltr">When the singularity has more than one branch, in order to generalize the Ap ́</span><span dir="ltr">ery result,</span><br /><span dir="ltr">two main problems arise: firstly, the Ap ́</span><span dir="ltr">ery set becomes an infinite set; secondly, in the</span><br /><span dir="ltr">process of blowing-up it is necessary to deal with semilocal rings, that cannot be presented</span><br /><span dir="ltr">as quotients of a power series ring in two variables, as it happens in the local case. These</span><br /><span dir="ltr">problems where partially solved twenty years ago in the two branch case, but the general</span><br /><span dir="ltr">case is still open.</span><br /><span dir="ltr">In my talk, after describing some key definitions and results on value semigroups and</span><br /><span dir="ltr">good semigroups of a curve singularity with</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">h</span><span dir="ltr"> </span><span dir="ltr">branches, I will explain explaining the</span><br /><span dir="ltr">Ap ́</span><span dir="ltr">ery process for a plane branch and then, I will present some recent results obtained in</span><br /><span dir="ltr">a joint project with F. Delgado de la Mata, L. Guerrieri, N. Maugeri and V. Micale, that</span><br /><span dir="ltr">are a significant progress toward a complete solution of this problem.</span></p>

<div>In this talk I will discuss about the construction of the  fundamental solution for a linear Schrödinger equation with a  time-dependent potential. I will follow the approach by Fujiwara, based  on the rigorous construction of the Feynman path integral through the  time slicing method. I will also present some physical motivations which  led to this study and discuss some further extensions of the Fujiwara's  theory to a broader class of potentials.</div>]]></content:encoded>

These arise as limits of<br /> extremals of Poincare-type inequalities in Sobolev spaces. In particular, we will<br /> explain that in a convex polygon, the points where an ∞-ground state does not<br /> satisfy the ∞-Laplace Equation are characterized: they are restricted to lie on<br /> specific curves, which are acting as attracting streamlines. The gradient is <br />contin uous outside these curves and no streamlines can meet there. <br />Some consequences will be discussed.</p>

<p><br /> Which canonically embedded curves are hyperplane sections of K3<br /> surfaces? In the first work, following conjectures of Wahl, Mukai and<br /> Voisin, we give a complete characterization of curves which are hyperplane<br /> sections of  K3 surfaces (or of limits of such). This involves proving<br /> two conjectures stated by Wahl in 1997.</p>
<p><br /> In the second work we we find an explicit  family of  curves, of any<br /> given genus, satisfying the Brill-Noether-Petri condition.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>È risaputo che il membro generale di C<sub>14</sub> sia razionale.</p>

<p>Mostreremo che ogni cubica in C<sub>14</sub> è razionale.</p>
<p>Nel fare questo presenteremo il conto di parametri che suggerirebbe C<sub>14</sub> = C  e in seguito la notevole (e sconosciuta?) dimostrazione geometrica di Fano che C<sub>14</sub> è invece un divisore.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Di passaggio considereremo anche le cubiche di C<sub>14</sub> contenenti un piano per dimostrare che il luogo Pfaffiano e il luogo delle cubiche contenenti uno scroll razionale normale di grado 4 liscio non sono aperti in C<sub>14</sub>.</p>]]></content:encoded>
