Il Dipartimento di Matematica e Informatica si riconferma, come nella precedente VQR 2004-2010, nelle posizioni di vertice della classifica VQR 2011-2014 per quanto riguarda le politiche di reclutamento. Il Dipartimento infatti si è collocato in seconda posizione, dietro solo alla SISSA Trieste, nelle politiche di reclutamento sia per quanto riguarda l’indicatore di mobilità nell’area (R=1.17), sia per quanto riguarda l’indicatore riferito all’area (R=1.61).
Per valutare le politiche di reclutamento delle istituzioni rispetto alla qualità della produzione scientifica degli immessi in ruolo (per la prima volta o in un ruolo superiore, addetti in mobilità, AM), l’Anvur ha calcolato diversi indicatori. Il primo, R di mobilità nell’area, è il rapporto tra la valutazione media degli AM della istituzione in un’area e la valutazione media di tutti gli AM esclusi gli AM dell’istituzione sotto esame. Se il rapporto è maggiore di uno, l’istituzione ha assunto o promosso in media addetti nell’area con una produzione scientifica VQR2 migliore della media degli AM nell’area. Il valore del secondo indicatore, R riferito all’area, che calcola il rapporto tra la valutazione media degli AM dell’istituzione in un’area e la valutazione media degli addetti in tutta l’area esclusi gli AM nell’area. In questo modo si evidenzia la linea di tendenza che ciascuna istituzione segue in termini di posizionamento nell’area mediante il reclutamento.
Da segnalare inoltre l’ottima performance del settore di Informatica (INF01) posizionatisi al primo posto (1 su 31) a livello nazionale e di Analisi Numerica (MAT08) e Matematiche Complementari (MAT04) che si collocano al secondo posto (2 su 31 e 2 su 13 rispettivamente) a livello nazionale.

]]>Participating in this program, students can take advantage and obtain a qualification that is legally valid in both Italy and Spain. Students enrolling on this programme attend their first year of study in Valencia and the second in Ferrara, taking their final exam in both cities.
The Double Degree Program provides a financial contribution from the University of Ferrara for the period spent abroad.
It is also an opportunity to obtain the title of "Ferrara School of Mathematics".

Applicants must have the requirements to enroll in the first year of the MSc in Mathematics of Ferrara in the academic year 2017/18, with a degree achieved within October, 20th 2017.

In particular, for the admission to the PhD in Mathematics, which is activated by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in agreement with the University of Parma and with the University of Ferrara, 12 places are available, with 9 scholarships provided.
Admission requirements are Italian second level degree (laurea specialistica, under D.M. 509/99 or laurea magistrale, under D.M. 207/04) or Italian degree obtained prior to D.M. 13 509/99 or equivalent qualification obtained abroad. More information in the admission call.
